Hello again,
It seems as if time is travelling at warp speed, as I catch up on the
2014 Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas challenge. To see Linda's gorgeous clean and simple inspiration tag,

I was inspired by Linda's red, green and cream color scheme, and the glossy red heart. This is my version for week four:
I'm a pretty traditional girl when it comes to Christmas decorating, so the reds and greens are definitely in my wheelhouse. To create my tag, I started with rectangle of plain manila, and used post it notes to add a stamped border. (Wendy Vecchi's carnation red again.) I cut my evergreen branch from manila cardstock with my
Silver Bullet Pro and colored it with Pine Needle and Gathered Twig Distress Inks. I glued down the center, leaving the "needles" loose for more dimension, added a tiny red ribbon bow. My prim hearts were stenciled, first with Barn Door Distress, then with gloss gel medium, and cut out by hand. My Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher was the perfect tool for attaching them. I wanted to bring in one more metallic element, and I loved seeing the "25" brad on Linda's inspiration, so I found one in my stash, colored it up with some Barn Door Distress Paint, and attached it in the top corner. Finally finished to my satisfaction!
Here is Linda's inspiration piece:
If you head on over to her online shop,

The "week four" view of my printer's tray.
As you can probably tell, I have been having a blast in my craft room, working on these pieces. I am all caught up now, (although I still need to post weeks five and six) and anxiously awaiting Linda's next inspiration tag.
Thanks for visiting with me today!

The stamped border with the chevron look is fantastic - love the traditional reds and greens. And I really like how you added the color to the number brad - wish I had thought of that on mine :). I'd love to see a pic of the printer's tray each week. It's so cool to see them all together! Glad to hear you are having a great time with my little challenge.
