Week Seven, Funkie Junkie Style 12 Tags of Christmas...

Hi Everyone!

Hope all my American friends had a terrific Thanksgiving holiday.   We had a family fun filled weekend in Maine with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents; lots of eating;, and lots of shopping.

I am finally finding time to post my week 7 project for the 12 Tags of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style.  (Click the link for all of the details on how you can join in the fun!)  The challenge is generously sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique, the on-line shop that makes your crafty Christmas wishes come true!  (I need to share my list with my hubby, so he can tuck some goodies under the tree for me!)

Here is Linda's inspiration:

Sparkly snowflakes and vintage text. I Love!!!!

I chose a very small space in my printer's trays, and made this:

I cut a tiny square of text from a vintage German (I think?) book, and stamped a Tim Holtz snowflake with Picket Fence Distress Paint.  Next I inked the edges of the paper just a tiny bit.  I cut three snowflakes with my Silver Bullet cutter, and glittered the middle layer.  I foiled the top and bottom layers with an icy green foil from my stash.  I have a Foil Master foiling machine, which I used here by printing a square of black with my laser printer, then cutting the snowflakes from it, layering the foil film over them, and running it through the pre-heated Foil Master to adhere it.   I added a sparkly rhinestone and a tiny little North Pole stamp as finishing touches.

Here it is in the tray:

I think I will take a break from decorating the house today, and work on filling a few more spaces.  Christmas is coming fast, and I recently received an order of beautiful goodies from the Funkie Junkie Boutique that are bound for these trays! Yay!

Have a wonderful day!

Elizabeth

  1. I am loving this! This snowflake really adds to the collection. Such an awesome piece, despite being so tiny. So love the book page layered in here.

  2. Morning Elizabeth. I owe you a huge apology! I have my glasses on this morning, and as I read your post, I realized that the tags your posting are Linda's tags and the panels for your tray are your takes on her tags. I am sooooo sorry, you must have wanted to rip your hair out as you were reading my comments! I'm a dope!
