Hello again!
Here I am again with another tiny Funkie Junkie inspired art piece. First, a look at The Funkie Junkie's Week 10 Inspiration tag:
Wow! Isn't it gorgeous?
Here is my version:
I was inspired by Linda's tag to create a stenciled holly background with Distress Inks, and a touch of modeling paste, too. Some Tarnished Brass Distress Paint gives my holly leaves (the off cuts from the stencil) a rich look. I used several layers of my new Wendy Vecchi Red Geranium Embossing Powder from the challenge sponsor, the Funkie Junkie Boutique to make my little (7/10 inch) jingle bells shiny and bright. To give you an idea of the scale of my piece, the red "bead" on the bakers twine bow is actually the head of a quilter's pin. (Pulled off in a recent crafting mishap!)
I couldn't resist adding some appropriate Remnant Rub text as a final touch.
See how nicely my Printer's tray is filling up:
There is still time to join the fun. You can find all of the details here, check the links on the sidebar to see each of Linda's incredible inspiration tags . If you are too busy to complete the challenge, hopefully you can squeeze in time to follow the links at the end of each post to all of the fabulous projects made by this year's participants.
Thanks for visiting with me today! Happy Weekend!
Elizabeth
Absolutely fabulous, Elizabeth! Love your stenciled background and your holly leaves are fabulous. Your did a sensational job of capturing the essence of my tag! The addition of the remnant rub is the perfect finishing touch!
