One last Christams project...

Happy Day Everyone!

Today, I am going to post what I think may be my final, and favorite, project of the year.

It is another paper craft and reclamation hybrid.

While cleaning my kitchen before Thanksgiving, I found an enamel ware lid for a little sauce pan that I no longer own.  Rather than throw it away, I tossed it in my quickly growing "useable junk" box.  A few weeks later, I decided to use it as a wreath form.

Here are a few detail photos:

I used a variety of green scrapbook papers and cut them into various evergreen shapes using my Black Cat Cougar digital die cutter.  The cardinal and the poinsettia centers were glittered with Distress Glitter in Festive Berries.

I fell in love with this Tim Holtz image, and it worked perfectly in the center of my wreath.  I cut it from Christmas music paper, and inked the edges with a bit of Distress Ink.  I attached the lady directly to my base, and popped the gentleman with a few foam dots.

I wish you all Peace, Love and Joy this Holiday Season.

Elizabeth

  1. What a great idea to use a lid for a wreath, I'm going to have to go to Goodwill and see if I can find some orphan lids to use.
