The one with the scraps.....

Good Morning, Folks!

I have a couple of Pinterest inspired projects to share this morning.  I used up some of my tiny little scraps for these ones.  Have I told you lately how much I love using scraps?  Of course I have!!!

So here is the first one:

My DD works part time for our vet, and has been collecting these tiny little vaccine bottles for me.  How cool is that?  I was perusing Pinterest the other day, and found this project.  Cuttting vinyl that small really taxes my patience, so I decided a simpler version would be better for me. (and anyone in the vacinity of my craft room, LOL!)  Not only did I use up scraps of vinyl, but I dug around in my glitter/bead drawer, and used up some of those supplies as well.  BTW  Lowe's has a drawer full of various sized corks in the hardware department.  I was pretty excited when I found some to fit my tiny bottles.

The next project I worked on is really fun!

This flower  was inspired by this pin.  I have been trying to remember to use a circle punch to get the last bit of good out of even my tiniest scraps before throwing them in the recycle bin, and this project was perfect for them.  It is simply five one inch circles with a pleat on one edge, glued around a sixth circle.  I used a recycled button blank for the center.  I added some Spun Sugar Distress Paint to the petals, and spritzed them with water so that the underlying text would show through.  For the button, I dabbed on various gold and brown colors of Distress Paints, and heat dryed them between layers.  This will be a nice grungy element for a mini canvas I hope to finish today.

Hope you all enjoy the last of your weekend!
