Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

I love the feeling of a fresh start that always comes on this day.  This year I signed up for the Creative Jump Start workshop that features a new technique to inspire creativity each day.  I know better than to challenge myself to post every day, but I am going to try each technique, and post the results at the end of each week in January, (if not more often!)  If you would like to join in, here is a link to Natalie's Blog where you can sign up.

This is the project I made using today's technique, which involves double sticky tape and embossing powder.  Using the few embossing powders that I already had, I ended up with a very patriotic card.  It was a fun technique, and one I never would have thought of on my own.  That is what I am most looking forward to with this workshop.  I really want to add some new techniques to my crafty repertoire.

I am entering this card in the Use It Tuesday Challenge #46.  In the spirit of using up my stash, I used scraps of Recollections paper, Recollections embossing powders, ProvoCraft Tape,  a Stampin' Up stamp (that my daughter won in a Raffle about six years ago!), an Inkadinkadoo background stamp, Cuttlebug embossing folders and my Big Kick, Tim Holtz Alterations hanger and long brad, Martha Stewart twine, Recollections rivets, and Distress Inks in Aged Mahogany, Faded Jeans, Fired Brick, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.

I am wishing you all a healthy, happy, joyful 2013!
