Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having a good week. This weekend, I made two more cards using Creative Jump Start techniques.
The background is from CJS # 20 with Jenna Werner. I applied spray inks with plastic wrap. The focal point was inspired by Carol Grieg's CJS #19. I used a white crayon to resist Distress inks that I applied over a Tim Holtz stamp, stamped on glossy cardstock with Ranger Archival ink. I really enjoyed both of these jumpstarts, and the techniques that were shared.
This card was also inspired by Jump Start #19. I used markers to color another Tim Holtz Stamp, which was stamped onto glossy cardstock with Archival ink. I used my sewing machine to zig-zag the image onto the background. I can't believe it took me this long to add stitching to my cards.
I made this card tonight, using today's Jump Start number 32. Natalie Kalbach demonstrated using pan pastels over a heat embossed resist. I don't have any pan pastels, so I tried it out with my cheapo stick pastels. They just didn't work. They actually don't work for much of anything. So I improvised by using my trusty Distress Inks.
These tiny little stamps are by Inkadinkado. The more I look at this card, the more I think it needs die cut snowflake or two at the top. I think I will add some tomorrow. Sometimes I see my cards more clearly after I have photo'd and posted them.
I had some extra pieces, so I made a couple of little note cards:
And finally, I have to post a photo of the cuteness that is our cat, Tomie!
I just love how he is covering his face with his little paw. Adorable!
Have a terrific rest of the week!
Elizabeth
