It's time for...

... another Christmas Card.  Again, I am joining in with the Merry Monday Gang.  I am finding that this is an excellent way to keep up with my Christmas cards.  Making one card per week allows me to spend more time on each card than I do if I have to knock out a bunch in a rush, and I'm finding that I am much happier with the results.

Challenge number 192 is Berries!

You might have to click on the photo to enlarge it to really see the berries on my card, but I assure you, they are there!  I stamped the Tim Holtz wreath from the Mini Holidays #5 set in Library Green Archival ink.  Next I colored the berries by dotting on red ink from a Bic Marker (Yeah, I know, not the fanciest of supplies, but hey, they work for me!)

Next, I colored the bow with Distress inks, using a water color paint brush.  For a final touch on the wreath image, I added some white highlights with a gel pen.

To finish my card front, I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts, again with Library Green archival ink, and cut some layering mats from my collection of Christmas papers.  A knotted twine tie adds some texture, dimension and a rustic touch.

The inside of my card looks like this:

I used another Tim Holtz stamp, along with a small flourish with greenery and more tiny berries.

Thanks for stopping by to see my latest project.  I wish you all a wonderful week!

  1. This wreath is gorgeous, Elizabeth! I love how you've stamped it on the kraft paper and love your use of supplies! I keep those on hand too. Thanks for sharing this with us at Merry Monday!

  2. What popped out for me what the white you used on the wreath, it really gives it a nice glow...and yes I see your berries! Awesome card and thank you for joining us at Merry Monday!

  3. Very pretty! It is hard to see the berries, but it is such a pretty wreath and sentiment. Great card!

  4. Love the touches of white your wreath - a real show stopper!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Merry Monday.
