White and gold shabby elegance...

Hope you had a terrific Monday!  I had time after work to finish my week ten  12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style challenge.  When I left you last night, the thick layer of crackle medium was drying.  It made the most beautiful crackles over Tarnished Brass Distress paint.

 Some of it fell off while I was working on the base, so I preserved it by adding a coat of gel medium.  I cut greenery with my Silver Bullet cutter, and stamped it with Wendy Vecchi Archival ink in Tree Branch and Potting Soil using my Tim Holtz School Desk stamp set.  I chose a vintage brass button from my collection. ( I was hoping to find a place to add an "attic treasure" to the trays I am making.) 

When you look at Linda's tag, you can definitely see how I was inspired.  I used a similar white textural background, gold and white color scheme, text stamping, evergreen boughs and a red rhinestone.

I love the way the white pop among the more colorful pieces.
