I love Fall crafting!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Thursday.  I'm a day late with my card post. (actually a week and a day, as I skipped last week.) As a died in the wool procrastinator, I am a firm believer in "better late than never"!

I am currently working on a large card making project, as I have decided to "adopt" a local elder-care facility.  I am starting by making an Autumn card for each resident.

I made six of this fun "crazy quilt" card, by stacking six different 4 x 5 inch papers, and cutting them with my rotary cutter and ruler.  I then put all of the pieces together, placing each of the 6 papers in a different position for each card.  I used my tape gun to adhere the pieces to a base layer, and made some "stitches" with a fine tipped marker. I ran the entire piece through my Big Shot to give it a "quilted" appearance.   The greetings were printed and cut using my Silver Bullet Pro  digital cutter, and SCAL software.

I am dreaming up an alternative way to make this card, which will use up many of my smaller scraps.  Stay tuned for more info.

I made nineteen of these stamped and layered cards.  Yes, I said 19!  I really love making multiples, so this project is going to be perfect for me.  The above cards a sampling of my collection.  Lots of scraps were used here!  Have I mentioned how much I love using up my scraps?  (at least every other post!)  Again, I used my Silver Bullet Pro digital cutter and SCAL to make my greetings.  I used the same two greetings for all of the cards.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!  I hope to be decorating my house for Fall and Halloween, along with lots of card making.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest creations.

  1. Love them all, Elizabeth! They are gorgeous. I scrolled up and down several times trying to choose a favourite. It wasn't easy, but I think I have to go with the second last --- the one with the wheat(?) stamp. Beautiful work.
