For Dads and Grads

Hi Everyone,

Here are the cards that I have been working on this weekend.  I am feeling pretty good about getting these done early.

And here is the Graduation card that I am entering in Michellemybelle's challenge.

It was inspired by her Mojo Monday 232 file.  You can check out Michelle's blog here:  http://michellemybellescreations.blogspot.com/.  She is celebrating have 100 followers with some challenges this week.   I hope you have time to spend exploring her posts.  She has many beautiful projects.

All of these cards were made with Distress Inks and Tim Holtz Stamps.  I did the blue backgrounds by applying ink directly to a brayer, and rolling it onto cardstock.  I kept adding layers until it looked right.  On the Father's Day cards, I added a collage stamp background in  a medium brown over the blue ink.  For the Grad card, I added some water droplets.  I used black Adirondack Archival ink on my stamps.  The tags elements and "Dad" lettering were cut with my Black Cat Cougar.

I hope everyone is having a terrific holiday weekend!

Elizabeth

She used one of the same stamps I used to make a gorgeous card.
