An Autumn Tile and a Free Bag topper file

Hello Everyone!

Here is a tile that I made as a gift recently.

I made a tile as a challenge from the Black Cat USA forum Fall/Halloween Crop that I posted about earlier.  I liked this project so much that I just had to make another.  The challenge was sponsored by Sheri C. You can check out her blog here: http://www.mycardspot.blogspot.com/, where she showcases a variety of cool projects.

I used homemade alcohol inks to color a 4 inch plain white ceramic tile from Lowe's.  I made the ink with rubbing alcohol and dye powders that I have on hand for dyeing wool.  I love mixing custom colors.  I mixed up three fall colors, and layered them on the tile randomly, letting each layer dry before painting on the next one with a foam craft brush.  A couple of coats of spray sealer will keep the ink from coming of if it gets wet.
I cut a fall motif from vinyl, using my Black Cat Cougar, and applied it to the inked tile using contact paper as a transfer medium.  I had a cellophane gift bag that was just the right size, but of course it needed a topper.  I cut the leaf motif topper from black paper, again using my BC Cougar.  I attached a piece of orange paper to the back of the topper, to show through on the front.

Here is a photo of the tile in the bag:
